Notable Changes from the Previous Year
The 2024 IONIQ 5 has received a few tech upgrades, like digital rearview mirrors and a WiFi hotspot. Both models have the same top speed (185 km/h), but the AWD trim has a faster acceleration, going from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds, while the entry-level model makes it in 7.3 seconds.
Design Elements
Both models have the same standard seating surfaces, made of stain-resistant cloth, and the flagship model can upgrade to leatherette. There are also ventilated front seats available for the AWD version, along with soft-touch door panels, a sliding centre console, and a removable cargo-area covering. Shared standard features include cloth roof trim, metallic door handles, and a dual vanity mirror with illumination.
The exterior design is minimalistic but boldly modern with aerodynamic lines. There are LED lights around the entire vehicle, including the headlights, taillights, and daytime running lamps. The flagship model has options like a V LED light guide (front and rear) and premium gloss black exterior trims.

The new IONIQ 5 is equipped with the Bluelink Connect Car System and a 12.3-inch touchscreen display. There’s also a standard six-speaker audio system, which can be upgraded to a Bose sound system with seven speakers and a subwoofer in the AWD version. The flagship model can also add a premium heads-up display, a wireless charger, and a surround-view monitor.
Standard safety features for all models include vehicle stability management, electronic stability control, forward collision warning, lane keeping/following assists, and an intelligent speed limit, among other driving assists. Optional features include blindspot and surround-view monitors.
